Passwords… How Many Do Y’All Have?

My world has been turned completely upside down over the past two weeks.  My brain is fried from trying to commit new combinations of letters, numbers and symbols in specific groupings to a data base (my brain) that is, quite frankly, already overloaded with more passwords than any normal human being should ever need in this world.  Weren’t computers supposed to make our world simpler?  Well yeah, they do make things easier, but only if you can remember how to unlock them and the programs contained therein!

Just for giggles, let’s see if I can list all the things in my little world that have passwords that I must remember in order to function in daily life.

  • e-mail ID
  • e-mail password
  • Facebook ID
  • Facebook password
  • Online banking ID
  • Online banking password
  • Cabela’s ID
  • Cabela’s password
  • Online credit card company ID
  • Online credit card company password
  • Victoria’s Secret ID
  • Victoria’s Secret password
  • WordPress ID
  • WordPress password
  • Mountain Man’s debit card pin number
  • My debit card pin number, (which I have sadly forgotten… again.)

And I guarantee you that I’ve forgotten something else that I have to remember passwords or pin numbers or id’s.

Now, enter my new job.  So far, I have thirteen new combinations of letters, numbers and symbols that I absolutely must find room for somewhere in the dark recesses of my already failing memory bank for passwords.  That’s twenty-nine different passwords/ID’s/pin numbers!!!  Twenty-nine!!!!!!  How in the world am I, a self-professed bird brain who sometimes has difficulty finding her morning cup of coffee, gonna ever keep track of all this stuff?!?!?!?!?

I guess I could just change ’em all and make them the same exact thing.  But, then again, I’m too much of a realist to know that if someone ever figured out one, they’d have access to my whole entire cyberspace life.  I’m just gonna have to figure out some new method for committing things to memory.  Wish me luck!

Just out of curiosity, how many passwords/ID’s/pin numbers do y’all have?  Can anyone out there beat my 29?  If so, I’d love to hear from you.  Possibly acquire some tips on how you remember ’em all.
